Wired League is a501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded and led by Jeremy Li, a student at Torrey Pines High School (TPHS) in San Diego, California. Operating under the auspices of San Diego Math Circle, Wired League is a student-led initiative dedicated to expanding access to high-quality STEM education through free tutoring, hands-on learning experiences, and community outreach.
By partnering with local organizations such as Casa de Amistad, Wired League empowers students of all backgrounds to build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and develop a lifelong passion for mathematics, science, and technology.
Jeremy began volunteering at Casa de Amistad in 2024, tutoring underrepresented students in mathematics. Because of his strong academic background and passion for teaching, he became one of only four tutors selected to teach advanced mathematics, including Calculus, to high school students.
During the summer of 2024, Jeremy organized a week-long Math Camp for students in grades 1–3. Through hands-on STEM activities, math games, engineering challenges, and creative problem-solving projects, the camp helped young students discover that mathematics could be both fun and meaningful. The program was a tremendous success and received enthusiastic feedback from students, families, and the Casa de Amistad staff.
Inspired by this experience, Jeremy realized that many students in the community lacked access to engaging STEM education and academic support. In 2025, he brought together a group of like-minded high school students who shared a passion for mathematics, science, and community service. Together, they established Wired League, a student-led nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding free STEM tutoring and enrichment opportunities for students of all backgrounds.
Since its founding, Wired League has continued to grow. From 2024 through 2026, the organization has partnered with Casa de Amistad to provide free tutoring, organize summer math camps, develop hands-on STEM curricula, and mentor elementary, middle school, and high school students in mathematics, biology, physics, and other STEM subjects.
Today, Wired League is powered by dedicated student volunteers who believe that every child deserves the opportunity to develop confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. By making STEM education engaging, accessible, and community-driven, Wired League strives to inspire the next generation of innovators, leaders, and lifelong learners.
